FAQ

How do I get started?

Contact us by e_mail  or phone for an information packet and questionnaire or, download the New Lead Package below. Fill out the questionnaire completely and send it back to our office email, mail or fax. One of our designers will contact you to find out a little more about your project and schedule an initial consultation.

What is the "initial consultation"?

The initial consultation is an opportunity for us to interview each other and see if Felicity Design  is a good fit for you and your project. It is a two step process. The first step is a meeting at your house (or the project site) with Marina Alikin.

After the initial consultation, I want to hire Felicity Design. What next?

The next step is to enter into a design agreement. This will cover the fees and time spent to create your design and construction documents. We will put you into our design schedule and come out to your home to do a complete as-built measurement of your existing home. We will then begin a series of design meetings to complete your design and get your drawings prepared for final pricing and permit submittal.

What will the City allow me to do? What are the submittal requirements and timeline?

This will vary from project to project. The first thing we will do is visiting the City to discuss your project with the planning and building departments. We will find out all relevant information such as how much square footage you can add, how close to the property lines we can build to, what the exterior changes to the house must conform to, what the planning and building approval process will be. The more information we can gather from the City before the project begins, the smoother the whole process will be.
